NSTA, Transforming Science Learning Round 1. (Elementary, K - 5)

Have you Daily Do-ed? NSTA Daily Do lessons present opportunities for students to actively try to make sense of how the world works (science) or how to design solutions to problems (engineering). This web seminar is designed for elementary educators who want to try teaching a Daily Do lesson in their classroom and for those who have taught a Daily Do lesson and are interested in gaining new strategies to support students with sensemaking.

Six Daily Do lessons–one at each grade level (K-5)–will be highlighted in the web seminar. Participants will choose from one of six breakout rooms to experience a Daily Do lesson immersion led by an expert NSTA Professional Learning Facilitator. We’ll also invite experienced Daily Do-ers in the (Zoom) room to share their successes and speed bumps with implementing Daily Do lessons in the classroom.

All of the lesson immersions will be recorded and made available to web seminar participants. Participants may also choose to attend Have you Daily Do-ed? Round 2 on February 9, 2023, to experience another immersion in an elementary Daily Do lesson at a different grade level.

Whether you’re a novice or expert Daily Do-er, this web seminar has something for you!
