New Visions for Public Schools PL Institute -Full Day
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch included
Location: Oncenter Convention Center - Ballroom West
Who: This event is for district leaders/administrators and part of our Administrator Strand.

Offered on Friday, November 4th, this day-long professional learning course will be facilitated by New Visions for Public Schools. This one-day workshop is designed to support science leaders who supervise or teach secondary science teachers transitioning to the NYSSLS.
We will share and begin to norm around a science-specific classroom observation and coaching tool that highlights key shifts to look for as teachers are trying to align their instruction with the NYSSLS. We will also make connections between these key shifts and the critical attributes of highly effective and effective instruction as outlined by the Danielson Framework for Teaching.
Finally, we will examine how New Visions science materials can support teachers in making these key NYSSLS shifts and moving their instruction toward effective instruction in select Danielson components.
