Teaching an Argument-Based Living Environment Extension Lesson Through a Case Study Approach

The presenters will share a case study extension lesson from the Living Environment Core Curriculum on reproduction. Acting as doctors, students in this lesson analyze data from a couple’s medical history and draw conclusions as to the reason for the couple’s infertility. During Day 3, the doctors make various claims as to the cause of infertility as well as citing support for their assertions and orally present their claims with evidence and reasoning.
